Events

School events bring learning to life and help shape our school culture. They help students build confidence, connect with others and celebrate their progress. Events also give families a chance to be involved in school life and share in their child’s achievements.

Book Week

Our school comes together once each year to celebrate a love of literature through annual Book Week events. This event usually includes a character book parade where all students and staff actively get involved in the dress-up. The community are invited in to view the parade and younger siblings not yet at school are welcome to participate, along with the Kindergarten students starting the following year.

A book fair is also held during Book Week as a fundraising initiative to stock our library with new books. Each year this event is a highlight on the school calendar.

K-6 Cross-Country & Athletics Carnivals

Our school hosts two K-6 sports carnivals each year: cross-country and athletics. These inclusive events provide an opportunity for physically talented students to perform and seek their ‘personal best’ with a strong emphasis on participation and teamwork for all students, regardless of ability. The community are strong advocates of our sporting culture and provide support and assistance when required to ensure all students access sporting opportunities throughout their time at Dudley Public School.
